OTTO HAALBOOM INTERNATIONALE SPEDITION has been growing steadily. The original domestic transportation system from Hamburg to the Rhine-Main region was followed by the expansion into the old Bundesländer and Europe. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall we have been continuously expanding our destinations in Eastern Europe and Asia. Even destinations in Africa have been developed over the years for logistics and transportation. Happily, we were always the first with our freight completion systems in areas that no one dared go. Therefore, it's not by accident that this pioneering spirit has become second nature to us, and that we will be wherever we are needed, today and in the future.

Haalboom and Eastern Europe.

Geographically speaking, Eastern Europe consists of the European part of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldavia and the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Yuzhny/ Ukraine is the biggest deep-water harbor, as well as the youngest on the Black Sea. Furthermore, Yuzhny is leading the field amongst the three biggest ports in Ukraine (Uyichevsk, Odessa, Yuzhny) and occupies one of the first places in the country with regards to load volume.

The port is located on the northeastern shore of the Black Sea in the ice-free Maly Adzhalyk Liman, 30 kilometers from the port of Odessa.

Haalboom and Asia.

Central or Middle Asia is a summarizing name for the greater region in the center of the Asian continent. It comprises the modern countries of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgystan, as well as the autonomous regions, which belong to China, of Sinkiang (Xinjiang) and Tibet (Western provinces, where the geographical center of Asia lies).

Kazakhstan can be reach by train via Moscow (Moscow – Almaty, ca 4 days). An initial test train of Trans-Asian-Railway (TAR) ran in 2003. This route goes from Turkey through Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan und Kazakhstan to China and is the only East-West link to Asia that does not run through Russia and which is virtually of no significance for passenger transportation. To continue onward to China, there is a train that runs between Almaty and Urumqi/ China. It takes OTTO HAALBOOM INTERNATIONALE SPEDITION ca 10 days for the trip from Germany to Almaty.

Haalboom and Africa.

The import and export for Western, Northern and Southern Africa is being serviced smoothly by OTTO HAALBOOM INTERNATIONALE SPEDITION.

We import and export, among others, from and to Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Libya, Malawi, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Tunisia. Completion is executed via truck, ocean and air, as well as RoRo-transports.

We offer fully safeguarded container transports from point-of-origin to destination with our door-to-door container service for exhibitions, trade shows, etc., and even relief supplies. If so desired we can also take care of the administration with local authorities and offices. On top of that, the transport of cars and construction machines, as well as vehicles, via RoRo-shipping is possible into even the tiniest villages. There are additional contact personnel in our new office in Namibia.
